This service begins at Pochote Beach. You are required to arrive at Camping Don Trino, located at Playa Pochote, where our friendly tour guides will warmly welcome you and assist you with parking your car
We will head to Playa Muertos Pochote to enjoy the sunset, accompanied by fresh fruits, while we share some natural history of the area. As night falls, we’ll settle in the Tambor Bay mangrove swamp—an ideal location to witness bioluminescence. Enjoy and immerse yourself in the region’s natural history before our snorkeling expedition
Our guide will provide a detailed explanation of bioluminescence and offer essential insights while we are on the boat before our snorkeling adventure. They will delve into the captivating phenomenon of bioluminescence, unraveling the science behind it and sharing stories of its incredible natural occurrences. Along with this fascinating explanation, our guide will also give us important recommendations to consider before we dive into the enchanting underwater world. Aboard our Golden Wave 1 boat, we explore prime locations to witness this spectacular phenomenon up close. Upon reaching the snorkeling spot, dip your hands into the water and marvel as countless bioluminescent sparks illuminate the surrounding waves.
After 40 minutes of snorkeling at two different sites, we return to Pochote, a charming fishing village in Tambor Bay, where the tour ends.
The best bioluminescence tour with William and el capitain Jonathan who did everything to make the trip enjoyable. They took us to the most amazing beach bar while we waited for darkness – it truly was like paradise…other boats had the same idea but they had a lot more passengers while we had our boat to ourselves. Once dark, we got back on the boat to go round the headland to see the bioluminescence. Along the way, William gave an excellent explanation before we arrived and had the opportunity for a nighttime dip – to be swimming amongst the lights was surreal and magical.
